In 1956 the US Supreme court has held this to be unconstitutional cruel and unusual punishment, Trop v Dulles (1957) 356 US 86. Essentially saying that revoking citizenship is taking away a persons right to have rights.
The UK bill has been highly criticized and is exceptionally draconian in its measures. The impact of this bill will do nothing but hurt immigrants and minorities (UK citizens or not) and create additional racial tension.
There is a very interesting study of how The UK benefits from immigration financially. It was written by Tom Murphy of Boston MA. It outlines how immigrants contribute massively to the economy and use less state benefits than the native population. http://www.humanosphere.org/2014/03/uk-benefits-immigration/
We strongly advise anyone considering immigration to the UK to look carefully at all options and how the UK is treating its immigrant population. We also would like to point out that the the USA is a country built on immigration. It protects and values its immigrant citizens and overseas guests.
